Feeling low and gloomy ? - Its a choice, Happiness too is a choice

Today is the day where I feel gloomy, irrespective of my menstrual clock & anything happening in the family. I am alone and my partner is supportive in every sense, and still this gloominess comes. Feels lonely, feels more vulnerable, feels, depressed and feels like falling into the rabbit hole. Solutions run away and problems are smiling at me.


Motivational quotes help if you remember the right one at the right time & situation of your life. But this feeling can be really miserable , not getting away by any motivational quote.


So what next?, what happens? what happens next in a person who is in depression? like this? especially a female like me? I have been fighter since the childhood, extrovert too, getting hurt and then becoming introvert kind of situation.


so what helped me is not only positive thinking but a bit more specific - choice of positive thinking. To choose you need to be in a situation where you have multiple option of happiness, but you don't get happy by any of it. Everything feels like blackness.


I will not say I chose but the thought came of "choosing the happiness" & I was strong enough to stick to it , ponder upon it, and eat that thought "that I have a choice of choosing happiness". No matter how bad and low you feel you are not dead yet, have pretty working kind of body, hand and legs in working condition, there is a little backpain, but yeah in general working and alive. This made me get up, made me, make a tea for me, made me open my laptom and made me read some more that how can I choose happiness.


It is very important to have culture to be celebrative of many small things happening around, like change of season, lets celebrated. In India, every major season change, every major change in environment and the subsequent changes happening in the body in accordance with environment are celebrated. the food made is with the same thought that we are celebrating this liveliness and another reason to keep away the depression, gloominess, feeling blue kind.


Diwali is pretty popular in that sense. Diwali comes in cold season, there is coldness , death around, grey sky too, some cold rain showers, in Linz its snow. Christmas comes in December , in the snowy month. so festivity is something which we require in our daily life too to get from these gloomy thoughts.


In short hormonal imbalance, or depression, anxiety , feeling low comes from detachment from our cultural celebrations(the traditional way of celebration is important although). They bring the taste and you that is how you can choose happiness.
